Sunday Services and Activities:

Adult Forum (coffee and tea available), classes for youth and children, and nursery care at 9:30 a.m., September through mid-June.

Sunday Worship Service - 10:30 a.m.
Communion is observed on the First Sunday of each month and is open to all.

Elementary-age children leave service for Sunday School after Children's Story (except on Communion Sunday, when children are welcome to participate in Communion). Childcare provided for infants and children through kindergarten age for entire service.

Fellowship and visiting time, with coffee, tea, and refreshments - after church each Sunday.

Other Weekly Activities

LOGOS Midweek Christian Education Program - Wednesday, 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. (Kindergarten through fifth grade)
LOGOS meets for ten weeks in the Fall (September through early December) and ten weeks in the Winter/Spring (January through March).

Shell Ridge Youth - (grades 6-12)
The youth meet on Wednesdays, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m., September through May (check with church office at 935-3250).

Choir Rehearsal - Wednesdays, 7:15 - 8:45 p.m., August through May (check with church office at 935-3250). Choir sings in Sunday Worship Services with one Sunday off each month.

Senior Ministries - Monthly movies (free), occasional programs, meals, and fellowship for all seniors

Atria/Montego Heights Lodge Service -
Second Sunday, 1:30 p.m.
(Various groups volunteer to lead retirement home worship)

Koinonia (Ecumenical Prayer Group) -
Meets in Meditation Room (back of Sanctuary) at 7:30 p.m., on Second Fridays, September through June,
(Circle of prayer and concern for all people)

Soul Words -
Writing (optional) and sharing group - Meets on Second Sundays in Patio Room, at 6:00 p.m.

Annual Activities

Mexico Mission Trip
Youth/adults build a house for a Mexican family - Occurs in June of most years, following fund-raising by youth and adults

The MM Trip Early Planning Meeting, Orientation Meeting, and Departure and Return dates are announced in the Spring of each year.

Heifer International Christmas Faire - A Sunday in mid-November -
Event to give support for Heifer's work with poor families in U.S. and many other countries
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service - December 24 at 5:00 p.m. in the church Sanctuary -
Church and community celebrate and give offerings for selected charitable organizations

Walnut Creek Restaurant Walk - A Tuesday night in September - Tickets available for $30 per person in church office prior to event - (Sponsored jointly with Congregation B'nai Tikvah, Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church, American Association of University Women, and other community organizations)

Walnut Festival Parade (dates vary) - Shell Ridge participates in this annual community event.

Walnut Creek Martin Luther King, Jr. observance, peace marches, and other social justice events are supported and participated in by Shell Ridge.
