Worship is one of the central acts of our life together at Shell Ridge Church. Worship centers and focuses us, worship energizes our lives of faith and action, worship draws us into the otherness of God and beyond to the particularity of creation.
Our worship at Shell Ridge is, as we sometimes say: sacred, structured, eclectic and free.
  • Sacred: this is a “set apart” time where we take leave of our ordinary routines for an hour and join in corporately linking our lives and energies with the Spirit of God which is present in all creation.

  • Structured: we utilize a fairly consistent order of worship and follow the Revised Common Lectionary.

  • Eclectic: Within that consistent order, anything’s bound to happen. Music and personal styles of those leading can vary widely.

  • Free: We are not bound to a particular way of “doing worship” and can and do change as the need arises.
